Impressive effects of the engagement for people with cursing
Since 2016, the Education Foundation has been involved in the Federal Program "People Strengthen People" sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs. Within the framework of the school and the kindergarten we sponsorhips between children and young people. The success of this program has now been demonstrated by an impact analysis carried out by the Institut Prognos AG on behalf of the ministry.

The impact analysis investigated the effects of the sponsorship program on strengthening and sustaining commitment, the integration of people with a crippling experience, and the strengthening of cohesion in society.

More than 90 percent of the volunteers surveyed say their commitment to sponsorship is an important contribution to the integration of people with cursed driving. For example, by sponsorship, about one-third of the tandem partners have a traineeship / training / care center or similar. found. To a similar degree, the people with curses have found access through their godmother or godfather, for example to a society; A fifth is now dedicated to volunteering.

Almost all the volunteers interviewed (94%) say that the mutual understanding of the sponsorship is increasing. The sponsorships are often not on their own, but also affect their personal environment: in many places, more people take part in the activities of the tandem - thus the contacts and effects extend beyond the sponsorship.

A good 90 per cent of the volunteers interviewed can imagine themselves to engage themselves (on a regular basis) on a voluntary basis. Half of them can imagine their commitment to volunteering even further. It is gratifying that even those who have not yet committed themselves voluntarily before participating in the sponsorship program can very well imagine continuing to engage regularly.
